J. Edward (Ed) Slonaker
Ed has dedicated over 30 years to helping clients make wise financial decisions. When asked how he works with clients, Ed’s answer is “Servant Leadership.” For Ed, servant leaderships means … When asked how he works with clients, Ed likes to quote Robert Greenleaf, “Good leaders must first become good servants,” as well as John C. Maxwell, “True leadership must be for the benefit of the followers, not to enrich the leader.” Ed has completed extensive professional training and holds the CFP®, LUTCF℠, designations.
Ed is passionate about providing each client with the best solutions to achieve their goals and “matters of importance.” To do so, Ed first gets to know his clients – not just current financial situation but goals, dreams and challenges. He then brings together a team of professionals including attorneys, CPAs and investment managers to ensure his clients receive best-in-class service and advice. Ed specializes in executive and business owner situations, and comprehensive retirement planning.
Ed gives back to his community by serving, as a Board Member of United Way of the Eastern Panhandle; as a member of the Tri-State Estate Planning Council and Martinsburg Rotary, and as Technical Advisor to the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation, and teaching retirement planning at several universities.
